Fitzgerald caught 10 passes for 78 yards in Sunday's 31-23 win over the Washington Redskins and is now third in history with 1,106 catches. He began the day fifth, but moved past Hall of Famers Cris Carter (1,101) and Tim Brown (1,102) on Sunday.

Heisman winner Rashaan Salaam found dead in Colorado park

Salaam was drafted in the first round by the Chicago Bears and played three seasons with the team, winning NFC Rookie of the Year honors in 1995. He also played briefly with Cleveland and Green Bay.

New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul had surgery Wednesday morning to repair a sports hernia and his injured groin and is likely to be sidelined for the rest of the regular season, a source told ESPN.
