For a player to be eligible for our 2014 Entry draft, he must satisfy all the three following conditions:
- not being owned yet by any franchise
- having played less than 10 NHL regular season games
- being born before September 16th 1994

"Once the previous team in the order has drafted, the following team will have a max of 4 hours to make its pick (...). Please note that such limit should not be overused; you're expected to make your selection as soon as possible once you realize you are on the clock, i.e. without using the full 4 hrs.
This period of time will be counted only from 9.00 to 24.00 CET, unless the owner lies in North America.
This means that if your team gets on the clock at 22.00, you will have till 11.00 of the next day to make your pick
If a team fails to post its selection within 4 hrs, the next ones can proceed with their picks. However, the missing GM will be able to post his (picking from the left available players) as soon as he comes back."
"If a team announces a trade of his upcoming pick after getting on the clock, there will be 2 hrs for the committee to evaluate and check it (see -trades). Once the trade is approved, the new team on the block will have only 2 more hours to make its (just acquired) pick.
If a trade is announced before or during the draft, but not after one of the involved teams is on the clock, the available time for the committee to check (and if necessary reject) it will follow the standard rules (see -trades) with two limitations: not more than the time left before the traded pick gets on the clock, but never less than two hours. "
Pre-Lottery ranking
1- Tampa Bay Corresponding NHL team/s (#1 BUF)
2- New York (from Toronto) Corresponding NHL team/s (#2 FLA) [/b]
3- Saskatoon
4- Miami
5- Pittsburgh
6- Quebec
7- Los Angeles
8- Monterey
The winning team moves up 4 spots, thus determining the draft order as a consequence.
"The order of selection for the first Entry draft (2008) is elicited reversing the order of the Opening draft.
The following years the order is not snake-type anymore and is defined by the results of the preceding season. However, for the first round there are some specifics to discourage tanking: the two top seeds of the pre-lottery order will be awarded to the teams that reach the final in the consolation playoffs (the winner will get the 1st, the other finalist the 2nd); the pre-lottery positions from 3rd to 8th will be provided by the final regular season ranking, reversed without considering the two teams that reached the consolation playoff final).
All the 8 teams that didn't qualify for the main playoffs draw will be matched with real NHL teams and can win the lottery"
