Entro le h24.00 di giovedì 30 agosto 2007 tutte le squadre dovranno comunicare i giocatori che desiderano proteggere. Ogni franchigia ha la possibilità di proteggere un massimo di sette giocatori.

A coloro che non lo facessero entro questa data, verranno protetti d'ufficio solo tre giocatori, quelli con il contratto più alto, mentre gli altri giocatori verranno dichiarati liberi (e di conseguenza non-protetti) automaticamente.

Dal giorno dopo, partirà l'asta per i giocatori dichiarati non-protetti.

Ricordo oltre a ciò che è necessario proteggere anche i giocatori scelti nell'ultimo draft (mentre non è necessario proteggere i RFA). Per eventuali quesiti e/o dubbi rivolgersi ai commish via pm o nei topic appositi.
