No, l'ha confermata, anche se comunque ha dichiarato che l'arbitro l'ha detto con fare scherzoso, come facendo una battuta.

Comunque (anche) qui Goodell sta solo eseguendo gli ordini dei proprietari, sono loro che hanno voluto questo lockout verso gli arbitri ed, evidentemente, a loro va bene così anche perché comunque non si sa a priori dove andrà l'errore, se errore ci sarà, e quindi non c'è nessuno favorito dalla situazione. Visti i numeri dell'audience di Monday e Thursday Night ci sarebbe da pensare che questo sta pure portando più interesse verso l'NFL. L'unico problema, secondo me, potrebbe essere il fatto che le partite si stanno allungando troppo e questo potrebbe portare le televisioni a protestare.
O magari sono loro che lo vogliono per creare più "attenzione" intorno alle partite e poter mettere qualche altro spot in più! :complottismoagratis:

Sicuramente va bene/benissimo ai proprietari, ogni domenica che passa acquisiscono piu potere contrattuale...

Poi mi piacerebbe anche essere sicuro che buttare nella mischia i "titolari" nel bel mezzo della stagione sia piu un bene o un ennesimo "cambio di interpretazione", gia c'è un cambio netto tra RS e PO, ora ci sarebbe tra RS riserve, RS titolari(passatemi i termini per cortesia) e PO titolari, "sticazzi" ce losi mette da qualche parte?

Poi cosi di punto in bianco senza nemmeno una partita di preseason per rimettere in moto il cervello per essere reattivo con i bestioni che sono nel pieno della stagione, nella mischia a meta stagione(week 5 è meta stagione per me), potrebbero(POTREBBERO) fare gli stessi danni o superiori nelle prime 2-3week (IMHO e STRAIMHO), gia prima qualche "cazzata" la facevano anche loro eh, non erano la perfezione sicuramente.

Boh non so, piu difficile di quanto si pensi, per me, come problema.

Ma secondo voi non c'è proprio nessuna possibilita che tra 3-4-5- weeks le "riserve" siano a livello(magari un po meno) dei titolari o quasi? Proprio nessuna nessuna?

Secondo me è un discorso di personalità. L'atteggiamento degli arbitri attuali tradisce troppa insicurezza, si vede che stanno cercando di far fronte a qualcosa più grande di loro. I giocatori lo sanno benissimo, e quasi ad ogni snap c'è un accenno di zuffa. Secondo me l'esperienza che si potranno fare nel giro di una o due settimane non conta un granchè, è un discorso di atteggiamento. Loro si sentono e si vedono intimoriti. Non si può arbitrare una partita di football facendosi continuamente riprendere dagli allenatori, senza chiamare il numero del giocatore che ha fatto il fallo, facendo chiamate ridicole che poi richiedono minuti e minuti di conversazione o replay.

Ci vogliono quelli veri, che sbagliano anche loro perchè sono umani, ma sbagliano in percentuali molto ridotte rispetto a queste.

While replacement officials remain set to officiate Week 3 games around the NFL, on Monday, the NFL and the NFL Referees Association engaged in substantial talks on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Fox Sports insider and NFL Network contributor Jay Glazer.
The NFL and NFLRA spoke about money during their in-person meeting. But serious issues -- especially regarding benefits -- between both sides still remain, a source briefed on the discussions told NFL.com and NFL Network reporter Albert Breer.
A source told Breer the parties are “too far apart” for discussions to have gotten too serious at this point, and the set of talks that happened this week did not go particularly well.
The NFL locked out the referees in June and hired replacements, who have been heavily criticized.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the NFL has informed all teams this week that last weekend’s behavior won’t be acceptable this weekend.

“We contacted them to remind them that everyone has a responsibility to respect the game,” NFL Executive Vice President Ray Anderson told Schefter. “We expect it to be adhered to this weekend and forevermore.”

So why weren’t Fox and Del Rio fined? Until something tangible is done, these “I’m gonna turn this car around right now, Mister” warnings won’t be taken seriously.

That said, look for the Week Two officiating memo (which may appear . . . then disappear . . . then reappear on NFL.com) to urge the replacement officials to force teams to go with replacement coaches, if the head coaches act up.

As our friends at The Dan Patrick Show learned earlier this week, no NFL coach ever has been ejected from a game. If the NFL wants to get the coaches’ attention, actions will speak louder than warnings.

E il bello che le cose peggiori le fanno nelle partite principali, quelle più viste!

L'ho vista in condensed, quindi senza replay, ma l'impressione è stata pessima. Quante holding da 5 yd han chiamato? Ne ho viste più nel SNF che nel resto dell'anno...

Ma al di là delle singole decisioni che ci possono anche stare (alcune al limite, alcune giuste, alcune errate), è proprio la gestione della gara che è deficitaria (il metro arbitrale cambia come il vento), problema alimentato anche dal fatto che i protagonisti in campo lo sentono e si vede.
Non mi era mai successo, a memoria, di sentire cori dagli spalti come quelli del SNF!
Direi che è propria ora che i proprietari mettano mano al portafoglio e concludano sto accordo!

In settimana pare previsto un altro meeting senza la possibilità che ci sia una soluzione neell'immediato.
