Overview:
Widely considered to be the favorite for the Heismann going into the xxxx season, XXX has largely fallen off that radar with a couple of poor outings. However, he has not fallen off scouts' radars, as he is still widely regarded as the single-best quarterback in the upcoming draft. He's come up big in pressure situations before, and was looking to be a solid prospect even before his coach turned him into a phenom. XXX should be the first QB off the board, and very likely in the top five selections overall.

Positives:
XXX is arguably the most cerebral quarterback in this draft, and has spent the past two seasons running a pro-style offense.
He shows a strong arm with excellent touch, as well as a knowledge and raw understanding of the game that is very rare in a college QB. He also has enough mobility to elude pressure and create time for his receivers, although he will never be confused for YYY or ZZZ in the scrambling department.

Negatives:
As smart as he is, XXX can be almost bizarrely slow in making his defensive reads, which can lead to some pretty poor outings, as shown in the Prato Tech and Morbegno games in the xxxx season. As quickly as the ball jumps out of his hands, his release can be very slow indeed, often trying to make the biggest play instead of the best play. That won't cut it in the NFL.
