i think there are certain GMs who just want to be assholes, because 1) they don't even want to sign the player, and 2) they don't want you to have the player

Dom, you're making some good points.
But I also do understand NY tactics. Of course, they are two assholes and they are sympathetic like a couple of (gay) cops harassing you, therefore often they like to play this game to the limit, just to piss off other GMs. Frankly speaking, being in their position, with their huge cap space, I'll play the same game, probably.

In my opinion, the inactivity (or inability?) of lots of GMs who never raise any bids which are way too low is much worse than what NY is doing. Again, Bure and Matt might exaggerate sometimes, but they also play a fair game and don't allow good players to be signed to ridiculously low deals. I try to do the same, but my cap space leaves me almost no room for doing anything. So, my fellow sleeping GMs, start doing some bidding when needed, when you feel some player is close to be signed to an unfair contract, not only when you want a particular player. Keep in mind this is a totally fair game, not an asshole behaviour, therefore stop acting like pussies...otherwise stick your dick between your legs and stop pretending you are men.

Message for NY - I know one of you this morning, Matt & Bure, woke up cursing because a certain Czech player signed with LA to a very cap friendly contract. Let me know if I have to arrange any press conference in the nearest Ritz Hotel, just in case you need to watch him with his new jersey. I look forward to your reply.
