Austin Slater, esterno, dai White Sox agli Yankees.

RIP Ryno.

The
Cincinnati Reds are acquiring third baseman
Ke'Bryan Hayes from the
Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for left-handed reliever
Taylor Rogers and shortstop prospect
Sammy Stafura, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan on Wednesday.

The
Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday acquired
Jhoan Duran, one of baseball's best relievers, and they paid a high price to the
Minnesota Twins to get it done. Minnesota received catcher Eduardo Tait, regarded as a top 100 prospect, and pitcher Mick Abel, a rookie with six years of team control.
Prezzo molto alto per un rilievo. Ottimo, ma pur sempre un rilievo.

The New York Mets are acquiring right-handed reliever Tyler Rogers from the San Francisco Giants.
The Mets paid a very hefty price for Rogers, sending right-hander José Butto, outfield prospect Drew Gilbert and right-handed pitching prospect Blade Tidwell to the Giants.
Rogers' identical twin brother, Taylor Rogers, was traded from the Cincinnati Reds to the Pittsburgh Pirates earlier Wednesday.
Tyler Rogers, 34, is 4-3 with a 1.80 ERA and 38 strikeouts, with just 4 walks, in 50 innings this season. He has spent all seven of his MLB seasons with San Francisco, and he has a 2.74 ERA over the last five. Rogers, who will be a free agent after the season, is a submariner who doesn't throw hard but just gets outs and has been a model of consistency.

According
to a report from ESPN's Jeff Passan, the Red Sox are acquiring left-hander Steven Matz from the St. Louis Cardinals. The 34-year-old is in the final season of his four-year contract with the Cardinals, which pays him $12.5 million.
Passan
also reported that the Red Sox are sending first base prospect Blaze Jordan, their 2020 third-round pick who was enjoying a resurgent season at Triple-A, back to St. Louis in the deal.
Matz has worked as both a starter and reliever in his career, but he's been almost exclusively a bullpen guy this year, having made 30 relief appearances to only two starts. He owns a 3.44 ERA in 55 innings, striking out 47 batters and walking only nine.

The
Seattle Mariners are finalizing a trade for third baseman
Eugenio Suárez, landing the most coveted power bat of trade deadline season from the
Arizona Diamondbacks for three prospects, sources told ESPN on Wednesday night.
The deal, which is pending a medical review, will send first baseman Tyler Locklear and right-handers Juan Burgos and Hunter Cranton to the Diamondbacks, who already had dealt first baseman
Josh Naylor to Seattle less than a week earlier.
Suárez, 34, ranks fifth in the majors with 36 home runs and rejoins a Mariners team with which he spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Mike Soroka from the
Washington Nationals for two prospects, it was announced Wednesday night.
The Cubs are sending Triple-A outfielder Christian Franklin and 18-year-old infielder Ronny Cruz to the Nationals.

Andrew Kittredge from the
Baltimore Orioles.

The
New York Mets acquired two-time All-Star reliever
Ryan Helsley from the
St. Louis Cardinals for three minor leaguers, it was announced Wednesday.
The
Cincinnati Reds continued their aggressive approach to the trade deadline by acquiring right-hander
Zack Littell from the
Tampa Bay Rays as part of a three-team trade Wednesday.
The Rays confirmed receiving two minor league pitchers, right-hander Brian Van Belle and left-hander Adam Serwinowski, from Cincinnati in exchange for Littell.
Tampa Bay then sent Serwinowski, right-hander
Paul Gervase and catcher Ben Rortvedt to the
Los Angeles Dodgers, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan. Catcher Hunter Feduccia went from the Dodgers to the Rays, sources said.
Cincinnati resta molto attiva. I Mets credo faranno altro.

Winners of three straight games to lift their record to 53-55, the Angels are suddenly acting like contenders. On Wednesday, a day before this year’s trade deadline, the team bolstered its bullpen — which has been one of the majors’ worst this season — by acquiring relievers
Andrew Chafin and
Luis García from the Nationals in exchange for reliever
Jake Eder and first base prospect
Sam Brown.
