I officially protest the trade just completed by Saskatoon and Ontario.

Eriksson is on the last year of an overpaying contract, so ahead of next year free agency he actually doesn't have that much value, as you can get a player as good or better for the same money in September without giving up any asset, let alone the farm Saskatoon just sent to Ontario.

I can get 2 years of Eriksson with an RFA signing.

I traded a Rookie who is overrated from one or two goals in the playoffs, a bust dman, 2 3rd rounders and a later 2nd rounder that won't see the NHL for at least 3 years.

I officially protest the trade. a good prospect and 3 picks are far too much for a good player with a big contract, in general and comparing it to every trade for picks that happened in our league

The Trade Commission rejects the deal between Ontario and Saskatoon as the payback Biron receives for Eriksson seems way too big (3 picks plus a 1st tier prospect) considering Eriksson's contract and the league's market value.

The two sides obviously can still rework the deal if they feel like reducing substantially that payback.

Saskatoon is up in the draft unless a new trade happens.

The following teams in the draft order are expected to wait for the #26 pick to be made before making their own selection. The league site can not be updated at the moment but New York and Toronto will not be considered up until #26 pick is made/traded/skipped.
