Pronostico: sarà un overpay clamoroso. Adesso ne ha 32, se non sbaglio, quindi fino ai 35-36 potrà valere circa 25M$/anno, SE sano e quindi in grado di contribuire in difesa. Da quell'età in poi inizierà però a far fatica a stare sopra ai 20M$/anno di produzione, per crollare probabilmente negli ultimi 3/4 anni, dove produrrà meno della metà di quanto verrà pagato. Almeno c'è lo spot da DH a dare un po' più di senso a questa follia, ma 10 anni sono troppissimi. In generale non amo questo genere di contrattoni, specie se durano più di 5 anni, però ammetto eccezioni se hanno un senso, qui si è esagerato...

The Angels avoided arbitration with first baseman Kendrys Morales by agreeing on a one-year contract Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Morales was expected to garner about $3 million via arbitration.

The Angels agreed to a one-year contract with infielder Alberto Callaspo on Monday, thereby avoiding arbitration.
The deal is worth $3.15 million, according to a source, which is slightly higher than the reported figure Kendrys Morales agreed to -- $2.975 million -- and right around what Callaspo was projected to garner via arbitration.

The Angels may have only agreed on a one-year deal with shortstop Erick Aybar on Tuesday -- in a move that took care of all their arbitration-eligible players just before players and teams were scheduled to exchange figures -- but that doesn't mean the two sides have given up trying to negotiate something more long term.
In fact, Angels general manager Jerry Dipoto said he and Aybar's representatives are continuing those talks.
The only difference is that an extension for Aybar would now begin in 2013, since he's already set to make $5.075 million in 2012.

Debutto allo Spring Training per Kendrys Morales contro i Royals, per lui 2 su 3 alla battuta giocando da DH con due singoli e un run segnato.
