Stanno usando meno della metà del playbook secondo me. Ma piano piano aggiungono cose.

ieri il commentatore ha fatto notare che, sul trick play con il lancio all'indietro di white, jones ha giocato per la chiusura del down e non per il bombone sul profondo.
e che Zach invece era molto più aggressive.

qualc1 con le palle, fisico e maestria in grado di gestire certi pocket complessi ce lo avevano. oltretutto ha un torque allucinante che gli ha sempre permesso di eseguire anche da platform compromesse. invece si va con il flaccido jones.

Ti va riconosciuta una certa perseveranza, immancabili i post #momentonostalgia nei topic Panthers e Patriots, "avevate il miglior QB e l'avete tagliato"

Mac è vero che ha fatto il compitino ma lo ha fatto più che bene, ricordiamoci che è alla 2° partita in NFL (dall'altra parte c'era uno scelto 8 posti prima di lui e non mi sembra sia andato benissimo) e che ieri la linea gli ha dato davvero poco tempo. (per i nostalgici al momento la linea dell'anno scorso era 3 spanne sopra questa)
E nonostante gli investimenti in FA non abbiamo purtroppo Evans Goodwin e Brown come WR

I TE invece li vorrei vedere più coinvolti, specie in Red Zone dove stiamo facendo troppa fatica

Erano ancora in preseason.
Riguardava la OL presumibilmente aiutata dall'avere giocatori "veterani".
Ma vale per tutti i reparti.

I know we're a long ways from that now, but with this group, because of the experience that they have in this offense, are you able to start at a different point than if you were to incorporate a couple of different guys or new guys?
 
BB: I mean, maybe you could do that. I would never do it that way. So, I mean, I don't think that'll ever happen as long as I'm here. You don't know how it's going to turn out and if we'd done that last year and started at some point and left Mike Onwenu behind because Shaq [Mason] and Joe [Thuney] and David [Andrews] were already here, I don't think that would've been good for our football team or fair either. So, I guess you could do it that way, but I would never do it like that though. I think you build the foundation and let the players compete and let them play and then, at some point, make whatever decisions you need to make based on the position and the role and so forth, and then try to improve from there.

Interessanti mosse in settimana.

 The New England Patriots worked out six free agents on Tuesday, including former Chicago Bears wide receiver Javon Wims, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.

 Wims, 27, landed with Chicago in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL draft. The Georgia product would go on to appear in 33 games and make seven starts from there. His stay brought 28 receptions for 266 yards with two touchdowns. Wims played 811 offensive snaps over that span before being waived by the Bears leading up to the league’s deadline in August.

 In addition to Wims, New England reportedly worked out quarterback Anthony Gordon, wide receiver Jaylen Smith, as well as defensive backs Kentrell Brice, Shakur Brown and Grant Haley.

 Gordon, 24, went undrafted out of Washington State last year after throwing for 5,579 yards with 48 touchdowns and 16 interceptions as a redshirt senior. The second-team All-Pac-12 selection has been a member of the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs since then.

 Smith, 24, signed with the Baltimore Ravens as a rookie free agent in 2019. The former Louisville wideout has also been rostered by the Seahawks and the Canadian Football League’s Toronto Argonauts.

 Brice, 27, made stops with the Bears, Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Cardinals after going undrafted out of Louisiana Tech in 2016. The veteran safety’s career has featured time with the XFL’s Seattle Dragons and CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders, as well. Brice has logged 100 tackles, one sack and one interception through 36 NFL contests.

 Brown, 22, agreed to terms with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a rookie free agent following April’s draft. The 2020 first-team All-Big Ten pick out of Michigan State began September on Kansas City’s practice squad.

 Haley, 25, spent two seasons with the New York Giants after arriving as an undrafted free agent in 2018. The cornerback by way of Penn State spent last campaign with the New Orleans Saints as part of the practice squad and as an elevation. Through 25 games and 12 starts, Haley has recorded 82 tackles, one sack and one interception.

 The Patriots also hosted interior offensive lineman Jake Eldrenkamp, who spent the 2019 offseason with the organization, on a visit.

 New England currently stands with a full active roster following the official signing of kicker Nick Folk. An opening remains on the practice squad of 16 with Tuesday’s addition of rookie center Drake Jackson.
