The New England Patriots announced that they have signed 11 free agents: OL Cole Croston, OL Jake Eldrenkamp QB Danny Etling, DL Trent Harris, DL Frank Herron, DB A.J. Howard, OL Ryker Matthews LB Calvin Munson, DL David Parry, WR Damoun Patterson and OL Dan Skipper. Croston, Etling, Harris, Herron, Howard, Munson, Patterson and Skipper finished the season on the New England practice squad. Eldrenkamp, 24, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Los Angeles Rams out of Washington on May 1, 2017. The 6-foot-5, 305-pounder spent one week in 2017 on the Rams practice squad and was brought back for training camp in 2018. He was released by the Rams at the end of training camp and spent the majority of the season on the Cleveland practice squad. Eldrenkamp started in his final two seasons at Washington at left guard. Matthews, 26, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with New Orleans on May 6, 2016 out of Brigham Young. The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder was released by New Orleans on May 6, 2016. Matthews played the last two seasons for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Parry, 26, is a veteran of four NFL seasons with the Indianapolis Colts (2015-16), New Orleans Saints (2017) and Minnesota Vikings (2018). The 6-foot-2, 317-pounder originally entered the NFL as a fifth-round draft pick (151st overall) of Indianapolis out of Stanford in the 2015 NFL Draft. Parry started all 32 games in his first two NFL seasons with the Colts at nose tackle. He was released by the Colts at the end of training camp in 2017 and was signed to the New Orleans practice squad before being signed to the 53-man roster, where he played in one game before being forced to finish the season on injured reserve. Parry signed with Minnesota in the 2018 offseason and played in three games and finished with three tackles.

Scrivo solo ora per impegni lavorativi,gioia immensa!!!! da questa stagione non mi aspettavo nulla tranne il titolo di division ,figurarsi dopo Miami,poi la difesa cresce di livello il gioco di corsa diventa preponderante e la varietà dei giochi d'attacco,fino al SB,ci fanno dominare la fine stagione e i PO,tutti immensi da tutti gli allenatori BB e Flores su tutti per non parlare di Scarnecchia fino ai giocatori.
Incredibile veramente incredibile.

Solito mio post del ca**o di metà marzo.

Hanno tagliato Lawyer Milloy alla vigilia della stagione 2003. Hanno vinto il SB per due anni in fila.
Via pure Ty Law. Sono sopravvissuti.
Dopo la stagione 2005 ha lasciato che Adam Vinatieri andasse ai Colts. Scelto Stephen Gostkowski. Non malissimo.
Con Reche Caldwell e Doug Gabriel (Deion Branch voleva troppo) hanno sfiorato il SB nel 2006.
Ha rimpiazzato Wes Welker con Julian Edelman. Due Tre SB.
Ha mandato Logan Mankins a Tampa. Vinto il SB.
Ha lasciato andare Darrelle Revis. C'era Malcolm Butler.
Ha spedito Chandler Jones. Trey Flowers.
Ha scambiato Jamie Collins per una scelta.
Andato anche Malcolm Butler. A me piace Jonathan Jones. Stephon Gilmore pure.
Se ne va Amendola. Lo scorso anno era arrivato Brandin Cooks.

E via. Sopravvivere.

 What makes this discussing great is that the quarterback often lobbies the coach to go for it on short-yardage situations, wanting to take the ball himself on a QB sneak or at least keep the offense on the field.

 But Brady knew the field goal was the right decision: If the Patriots failed to convert, the Rams would have the ball with a chance to tie the game. He also trusted Gostkowski, who missed his first field goal attempt of the game but rallied to drill a 42-yarder in the second quarter.

 That trust -- and Belichick's trust in Brady -- is part of the reason why the Patriots are celebrating their sixth Super Bowl title in the last 18 years.

Secondo me vanno abbastanza d'accordo.

io direi Gost poi Allen e Flowers sullo stesso livello con leggerissima preferenza per Allen,i 2 Brown con leggermente davanti l'LT....

oh, finalmente arriva il periodo della stagione in cui si può pronosticare quello che farà BB, per poi scoprire di aver scritto una marea di minchiate (forse - e sottolineo forse- conoscere i prospetti aiuterebbe. ma è più divertente buttare idee a caso, anche con una minimo di saccenza). 

abbiamo 12 scelte, ma  tanto dopo venti minuti di draft tutti i giocatori su cui ha puntato il nostro coach se ne saranno andati, quindi avremo la solita pioggia di trade down, reach, DB al secondo giro che vengono tagliati dopo un annetto e long snapper al quinto.
o magari anche un trade per prendere qualcuno che sta facendo cacare altrove. a volte peschi un KVN o il gemello, altre volte no.

- TE. Gronkino è all'ultimo anno di contratto, sempre che ce la faccia ancora a giocare, Allen prende 7.4 milioni dopo 110 yard in due stagioni.
- SS dato che Chung comincia ad avere una certa età,
- WR perché attualmente a roster c'è solo Edelman oltre ad un altro paio di wr che hanno più o meno un numero di snaps pari al mio.
poi ci servirebbe un QB, ma qui le cose si fanno ancora più complesse. e il jolly JimmyG ce lo siamo già giocato.

questione rinnovi: 16 milioni disponibili (taglieranno Allen e Clayborn? boh). 
tanto dipenderà dalle offerte che arriveranno agli FA. si spera sempre che i giocatori si spaventino all'idea di uscire dal nostro sistema e si 'accontentino' di prendere qualcosa in meno.
Flowers a parte, a me, Brown è piaciuto un sacco. vero che c'è Wynn ma si porta dietro diversi punti interrogativi.

parlando di giocatori al nostro prezzo (Cit.), non lascerei andare a cuor leggero Gost e Allen: non sono fenomeni, ma perdere giocatori solidi comporta sempre qualche rischio. e, viste le tragedie con i wr draftati, magari tenere Hogan non sarebbe un brutta idea.



ps. J.Jones è tenderabile: dovrebbe rimanere.

Vista la necessità di avere TE di qualità, immagino al draft uno o due TE saranno presi. Ruolo chiave per il gioco di BB.
