In 2020 37 QB took more than 200 snaps. Out of those 37, Cam Newton was ranked 29th in terms of raw ball placement (OT%, On Target Percentage).
If you adjust for ADT (Average Throw Depth) Cam Newton is 32nd out of 36.
Patriots WR in 2020 created more separation than in 2019.
1. he was not accurate
2. he was not pushing the ball downfield, most of his passes were “easy” screens, check downs, etc
A me non era sembrato così male, ma i numeri parlano chiaro. Avevo notato lanci sbagliati, ma è stato peggio di quello che pensavo. Una off-season con la squadra e ricevitori migliori potrebbero aiutare. Ma deve migliorare anche lui. Come ho ripetuto all’infinito non è mai colpa di un giocatore solo, ma ha effettivamente sbagliato alcuni passaggi facili, molti di più di quelli che credevo.
Non corre più come un tempo, ma potrebbe non essere un problema, perché già il fatto di poter tirare fuori dal nulla un TD da 50yds di corsa, tiene le difese molto oneste.
Tutti hanno riconosciuto, all’interno dello spogliatoio, un grande leader ed un grande uomo. E per le prime due settimane lo si è visto anche in campo.
Non ho notizie su BB e su eventuali contatti con Cam, quindi vedremo.
