McCarron leggi le stats e dici ha solo lanciato per 122 yards a stagione, ma in realtà ha giocato solo 4 partite da titolare e 3 spezzoni (in cui ha fatto 3 lanci e 1 corsa totali). Se conti solo le gare dove ha realmente giocato ha viaggiato a 200 yards di media. 66% di completi. Ha giocato discretamente la Wild Card contro gli Steelers e se quel fesso di Burfict non regala una flag a tempo scaduto avrebbero vinto la gara. Burfict + Jones regalano 30 yards agli Steelers che calceranno il FG della vittoria dalle 35 allo scadere.

Siemian non è mai arrivato al 60% di completi e ha lanciato 24 intercetti in 25 gare. Poi probabilmente sono due cessi entrambi, ma dovessi scegliere prenderei McCarron.

4 partite sono pochine per giudicare un QB. In una di queste ricordo che giocò un ottimo primo tempo contro Denver, ma dopo gli aggiustamenti dell'intervallo non combinò più nulla e i Broncos guidati da Osweiler vinsero all'OT. Ecco, pure il buon Brock in quelle poche gare giocate quella stagione sembrava buono. Poi però sappiamo cosa ne è stato di lui. Succede spesso che un QB alle prime uscite in carriera giochi bene. Ma appena i DC avversari ne scoprono i punti deboli viene fuori la sua vera natura.

Io non ho detto che sia buono o che ci avrei investito sopra. Semplicemente non me lo ricordavo così scadente come lo fate passare e ovviamente si parla di backup. Infatti quelle 5 partite che ha giocato valgono poco o niente, però secondo me in quelle partite lì aveva sostituito Dalton in maniera dignitosa.

Cosa ha firmato? Mi sembra 10 milioni in 2 anni che è lo stesso contratto che ha preso Daniels che non ha mai giocato in Nfl e mi sto ancora chiedendo perchè lo pagano. McCown prende quella cifra in un solo anno invece che in due. Glennon prende quasi uguale. Non mi sembra questa scommessa assurda, fermo restando che di scommessa si parla. Fitzpatrick ne prende quasi 3.5, l'unico che prende palesemente di meno è Savage.

Ma infatti probabilmente sono entrambi dei cessi.. l'unica differenza è che uno hai la quasi certezza che lo sia, avendo potuto testarlo per un numero abbastanza significativo di partite.. l'altro se non altro ti rimane per lo meno il dubbio.. se in più, per avere il primo devo pure dare una scelta al draft, allora vado di opzione 2 tutta la vita!
In ogni caso si sa che il QB su cui si punterà veramente verrà dal draft..
Per me han fatto la scelta giusta viste le circostanze.
Per dire, io una prima scelta per Foles non la spenderei mai, quindi una volta che son rimasto "con il cerino in mano", meglio McCarron e poi si drafta..
