Buon calendario, nessuna trasferta all'ovest, due volte nel Midwest e tre volte a sud. Una settimana corta, ma in casa. Un MNF a Buffalo. Tre SNF. Ennesima trasferta a Pittsburgh, ma ne abbiamo già discusso. Il calendario ha le sue rotazioni. Vari QB forti da affrontare.

Se ne è andato Gil Santos.

Gil Santos, the New England Patriots' longtime radio voice, died Thursday on his 80th birthday and 57th wedding anniversary.

Santos started working Patriots' broadcasts games for WBZ in 1966 as a color analyst. He took over play-by-play duties when the team moved to Foxborough in 1971. WBZ lost the team's broadcast rights in the 1980s, and Santos returned with the station in 1991 and remained a fixture through the 2012 season.

Santos called 743 games in 36 seasons, and also did many Boston College football games. He retired from WBZ in 2009 after 38 years as a sports anchor, and was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame that year. In 2013, he went into the Patriots Hall of Fame.

He also candidly mentioned the Patriots will see a "freek-a-leek" when he comes back, perhaps hinting he'll be a participant in camp. Team workouts are completely optional, but the 28-year-old will miss out on a $250,000 workout bonus in his contract. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier in the week Gronkowski is still considering whether to play in 2018.

Per tutta la offseason molti giornalisti hanno parlato (a vanvera e di tante cose) di Gronk e del fatto che non sia contento e che voglia un contratto nuovo.

Gronk, since his contract was re-worked with incentives for 2017 last year, cannot get a new contract right now. He cannot get a raise until May 24 since NFL rules don't allow new contracts before a full year has passed.
