Sports Illustrated has published its 2017 MLB Ballpark Food Safety Rankings and Fenway Park ranked second in cleanest concession stands.
The park earned 30 violations in total, but only two of those were critical food code violations for a broken dishwasher and a dirty ice machine. However, the inspections took place before the season started so the concession stands weren’t serving food then.
The No. 1 spot on the list went to the home of the Mariners, Safeco Field, with five total food violations and one critical food violation.
The Tampa Rays’ Tropicana Field was at the very bottom of the list with 105 critical violations and 241 total violations. The critical violations at Tropicana included black mold and live insects.
