IR (new) policy

Messaggio da bure » 29/11/2011, 11:42

IR/LTIR New Policy (December 2014)

There are three different types of injury reserves.
The system used is self-certification, with penalties (to be determined) for teams caught breaking the rule.

(-) simple IR
Eligibility: the player needs to be listed in this page http://www.rotoworld.com/teams/injuries/nhl/all/
No cap relief. You can freely set your player on IR on the league site IF eligible.
The player will be blocked in IR for 7 days even if he comes back earlier than that and once he is back playing his team should not be allowed to make moves before removing such player from IR.

(-) Long Term IR (LTIR)
Eligibility: for players to be LTIR eligible their expected 'Return' will have to be listed as "indefinitely" or with a date at least 30 days away, where the following applies:
- "early", "early/mid", name of the month = 7th day of the month
- "mid", "mid/late" = 16th day of the month
- "late" = 30th day of the month (28th for February)
Additionally, players listed as "week to week" whose status is "inactive" are also eligible for LTIR.
For other "week to week" status and "day to day" Returns, LTIR is only available if the informations under "i" don't leave any doubts the player will remain out for at least a month.

Examples:
if a player is listed as “mid/late October“ he can be set as LTIR only within September 16th (supposed to be back available on 16th → out 30 days).
if a player is listed as “late February“ he can be set as LTIR only within January 29th.
if a player is listed as “early month“ he can be set as LTIR only as long as there are at least 23 more days left in the previous month.

You don't need to ask for permission before putting your injured players on LTIR, but you need to check the aforementioned site to verify they meet the required conditions.
Please note that the 'log' in the league homepage shows your IR/LTIR changes and keeps track of them.
Any time they notice a suspect IR/LTIR move, GMs are encouraged to verify (a click is all it takes) if such move was compliant with our rules and report in this thread any infraction.
LTIR will be available only till a deadline yet to be set.

LTIR provides a cap bonus equal to 50% of the player's salary. The bonus will be available as a separate reservoir of money (i.e. not combinable with the overall salary cap room) and may only be used for biddings on Free Agents (can not be used for trades or waivers pick-ups). LTIR bonus of different players from the same team get cumulated. A LTIR bonus will expire as soon as the player on LTIR will be back playing, terminating as many contracts as needed to fit under the available LTIR bonus.
If the team had signed more than one "LTIR bonus contract", when a LTIR expires the LTIR contracts will be terminated following these priorities:
- contracts of the same position of the player coming off LTIR, starting from the older contract.
- other contracts starting from the older one.

Example:
Selanne RW @5M in LTIR, Crosby C @10M in LTIR
=> Bonus=7.5M
signed LTIR contracts: G Hutchinson @4.5M, then RW M.Stone @1M, then Pirri C @1M, then Hansen RW @1M.
selanne exits LTIR => Bonus drops to 5M
==> terminated contracts: Stone, then Hansen, then Hutchinson.

Since 2018-2019 season remove and put again a player from LTIR (just to change LTIR bonus contract) won't be allowed.
You can set him LTIR again only if there's a documented (check IR site...) reason (reinjured, new injury, etc) that must be posted in this forum into the IR topic.
The bonus not allowed (and the resulting contracts) will be removed/closed.

(-) Out For Season (OFS)
To be allowed to set a player as OFS you must post a valid link in this topic and get permission by one of the LC members.
OFS provides a 70% discount of the player's cap hit for the rest of the season, and can not be lifted.
OFS will be available only till a deadline yet to be set.

Notes:
- On ice suspensions do not make players eligible for IR/LTIR.
- Off ice suspensions make the players eligible for IR.
- Off ice suspensions with Return listed as "indefinite" make the players eligible for LTIR.
- LTIR bonus and OFS bonus are rounded down at the first decimal (ex. bonus: 0.39 -> 0.3).
- Penalties will be assessed for unfair utilization of IR/LTIR/OFS.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IR POLICY (older)

http://prosportsdaily.sportsdirectinc.c ... uries.html

Ci sono 3 tipi di Injury List:

- IR Semplice.
Nessun cap relief, durata minima 7 giorni

-Out For Season (OFS).

-Long Term IR (LTIR).

English summary of IR rules:

TYPE - BONUS - TIMING
IR - no bonus - at least 7 days.
LTIR - 50% contract bonus, separated from cap and only for FA auctions - at least 30 days
OFS - 70% contract bonus on the cap - all season long.

Note:
1) LTIR Bonus: on roster page you can see the available LTIR bonus.
You can use it for FA auctions selecting YES at the "Use LTIR Bonus" option when you submit your offer. If you win the auction a "LTIR bonus contract" will be signed.
This contracts expires when a player exits from LTIR (to remain under the LTIR total bonus available).
If many players are in LTIR and exists many "LTIR bonus contract", when an LTIR expires the contracts will be closed following these rules:
- contracts of player of the same role of player exiting from LTIR, starting from older contract.
- other contracts starting from older.
ES: selanne RW @5M in LTIR, crosby C @2M in LTIR
signed contracts: jagr RW @3M, then fleury G @2.5M, then malkin C @1M
selanne exits LTIR -> closed contracts: jagr, then fleury.

2) Bonus (LTIR or OFS) are rounded down at the first decimal (es. bonus: 0.39 -> 0.3).

3) You can set IR and LTIR checking this site:
http://prosportsdaily.sportsdirectinc.c ... uries.html
For LTIR must be specified an injury will last >1 month (more to come about this rule!)

If you're uncertain if LTIR can be allowed DON'T SET IT! :P
Penalties will be thrown for wrong IR/LTIR. -_-

4) To set a player OFS you must post a valid link in IR Policy topic.

http://playitusa.forumfree.it/?t=513494 ... y420777190

Simple IR - BASIC RULE:
To be permitted to legally set a player on IR he needs to be listed on that page as out for at least 10 days, where the following specifics apply:

- "out indefinitely", "I-R" => IR ok
- "early" = 7th day of the month
- "mid" = 16th day of the month
- "late" = 30th day of the month
- "ques", "prob", "day to day" => NO IR

examples:
if a player is listed as “mid october“ he can be set as IR only within october 5th (supposed to be back available on 16th → out 10 days).
if a player is listed as “late october“ he can be set as IR only within october 19th.
if a player is listed as “early november“ he can be set as IR only as long as there are at least 4 days left in the current month.

The system used is self-certification, with penalties (to be determined) for teams caught breaking the rule.
You don't need to ask for permission before putting your injured players on IR, but you need to check the aforementioned site to verify they meet the required conditions.
Please note that the log in the league homepage shows your IR changes and keeps track of them.
Any time they notice a suspect IR move, GMs are encouraged to check (a click is all it takes) if such move was compliant with the rule and report in this thread any infraction.

As you can see, the site we use for reference lists the last time the prognosis for return was updated: in case of infractions, penalties will be applied only if the last update occurred before (or on the same day) the moment the player was put on IR.

Once a player is set as IR the system will keep him unavailable for full 2 weeks.
Please remind this before putting a player on IR. Only after those 2 weeks the GM will have the chance to unlock the IR status and use that player again.

Once the player is back playing, the system will prevent his team from making any roster move until its GM will have removed him from IR status (just like happened on yahoo).

Post here links to ask for OFS permission.

Mi pare che L.A. abbia messo Markov in LTIR illegalmente:
Andrei Markov D Early Jan - Knee - 12/6/11
http://prosportsdaily.sportsdirectinc.c ... uries.html

Andrei Markov D Late Jan - Knee - 1/3/12 Markov underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in early December and is expected to be out until the end of January. He was in the process of rehabilitating his knee and had returned to practice when the decision was made for him to undergo his third surgery in the past 18 months. He hasn't played in a game since November 2010.

Posso metterlo in LTIR?

Enjoy!

Mik, ora posso metterlo in LTIR?

Markov underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in early December and has no timetable for a return. conta solo questo:
"Out indefinitely - Knee - 1/25/12"

vanek out week-to-week.
Dom, you only need to post here links for 'Out For Sseason' permission (which is by now not available anymore, anyway)...

if the player is listed here http://prosportsdaily.sportsdirectinc.c ... uries.html as out for at least one week (or out indefinitely or IR) he is automatically good to go for the IR.

OUT SUNDAY - dall'11-02-12

"Van Riemsdyk is dealing with a concussion, which he suffered in mid January after getting "hit in the head", according to Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren. He has resumed skating but missed Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs. He is not expected to play Sunday against the Red Wings."

Non mi sembra ci siano (ancora) i presupposti.

Dal sito parrebbe il 14 gennaio...
