a manfe io avevo offerto di più anche per il solo Rust, poi lui mi ha fatto notare la proposta di Manfe e mi son fatto da parte perché era chiaramente migliore

Solo per dire che ad essere rigorosi la trade è scaduta oggi alle 11:18, quindi la protesta valida sarebbe solo una (quella di bure, a dispetto di 2 post a favore della trade, manfe e claude).
Aggiungo che Rust è pure rotto per un bel po' (e chissà come tornerà!)

Detto questo mi rimetto al giudizio della corte.
Se vorrà creare un precedente.

Cito dal regolamento:

Trades must be proposed in the dedicated thread on the boards and the accepting GM must post his approval inside it. Once 24 hours from that moment are passed without complaints, the trade is automatically approved by the league and therefore processed on yahoo.
Players involved in the deal will be made available on their new teams’ rosters according to yahoo’s timing.
Any trade is expected to be for the well being of both teams.
If during that period of time (24hrs) several GMs will complain about it (considering it blatantly one sided even after weighting in its impact on the future -the complaining manager must provide proper explanation to why he rejects the trade- ), the trade will be furtherly evaluated by a committee* comprised of 3 elected GMs (if one or two of them are not available or are involved in the trade, they will be replaced by the designated alternates) that will be asked to come up with a decision within 48 hours from the moment the deal was firstly confirmed by the accepting GM. Unanimity will be required to veto a trade. Hence, all what it takes for it to be approved is one of the three voters ruling it acceptable (previous confrontation with the other members of the committee).

Nel caso specifico ci sono state due proteste (si potrebbe discutere se due è sufficiente, dovrebbero essere numerose, ma non abbiamo mai definito quante), ma una è arrivata fuori limite temporale. Quindi la trade va processsata.

La mia opinione, assolutamente personale, è che la trade è sbilanciata, molto, ma non da protestare. Resto convinto che se avessi saputo che Rust era in vendita qualcosa di meglio avrei offerto, ma nessuno me l'aveva detto. Amen.

Mettiamo in chiaro una cosa: sono 13 anni che andiamo in commissione con due proteste. Su quel punto non c'è mai stata discussione, anche per questioni di tempo materiale per la protesta, come dimostrato da questo caso.

Io non capisco come una trade "sbilanciata, molto" non sia da protestare, comunque.

Con 1M liberato Ingersoll ha poi potuto firmare Mercer (1st rounder 2020/2021) che giocherà per loro i prossimi 4 anni a cifre da rookie.
Va quindi considerato questo oltre al fatto contingente che Ingersoll si trovava in una situazione di enorme svantaggio con poco tempo e poco cap.
Concludendo: è una situazione piuttosto diversa.

and which are the reasons why the trade is considered too one sided?

hint: NY being involved in the trade shouldn't be one

we are giving back a quality starting G that should be back in about 1 month, two regular RWs that are needed by the other team, and we are taking back a bad contract no one else in the league wanted any part of.

In the Rust deal that you didn't even bother to protest there was none of these assets going back and the RW acquired by Honolulu was a top 20 RW in terms of production and making 1.5M vs Pastrnak's 9M.

Rust is currently averaging 9.2 ftps/game at 1.5M, Pastrnak is averaging 7.2 fpts/game at 9M.

Honolulu received Rust at 1.5M for free, and was able to dump a 0.5M in the process. The seller did not advertise the need to cut cap nor the intention to sell Rust to do so, if they did they would have found a better buyer in 10 minutes.
We are instead paying two RWs, Carey Price, and taking on a bad fat contract for Pastrnak at 9M. Dom did announce he wanted to get rid of Monahan and found no one else willing to take on that contract.

How in this world can you veto this trade after the Rust trade was allowed to go through?
