Mercifully, the broadcast experimentation might be coming to a close. Remy returned to NESN over the weekend, after undergoing chemotherapy in August. The beloved analyst was paired with Dennis Eckersley, creating perhaps the best booth in NESN history.

Remy and Eckersley breezily traded stories all weekend long, as the Red Sox and Rays played a series of uneventful games. The best exchange came in the middle of Boston’s 9-0 victory Saturday, when the two Red Sox Hall of Famers were recalling their visits to the famous nightclub, Studio 54, in the 1970s.
