IR (new) policy

Messaggio da bure » 29/11/2011, 11:42

Check stanleit rulebook, here the extract

Injured reserve status

There are three different types of injury reserves.
The system used is self-certification, with penalties (to be determined) for teams caught breaking the rule.

Simple IR
Eligibility: the player needs to be listed in this page
https://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/injuries/?guccounter=1
Or at least in this (also from yahoo)
https://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/hockey/injuries

No cap relief.
You can freely set your player on IR on the league site IF eligible.
The player will be blocked in IR for 7 days even if he comes back earlier than that and once he is back playing his team should not be allowed to make moves before removing such player from IR.
You can change from IR to LTIR/OFS directly (provided the player is LTIR/OFS eligible). Request your change IR->LTIR in this topic till stanleit.com will permit it.

NB: since 2019/2020 If a player is in IR, play a game and reinjury himself, you can ask to remove IR (moves) block and "restart" IR time from the last game played date. (es. Karlsson in IR from 01/02, plays in 04/02 -> IR block till 07/02. If reinjured, you can reset IR time from 05/02, removing the block)

Long Term IR (LTIR)

Eligibility: for players to be LTIR eligible if set (in the site above) as:
"out”
“IR”
"IR-LT"

You don't need to ask for permission before putting your injured players on LTIR, but you need to check the aforementioned site to verify they meet the required conditions.
Please note that the 'log' in the league homepage shows your IR/LTIR changes and keeps track of them.
Any time they notice a suspect IR/LTIR move, GMs are encouraged to verify (a click is all it takes) if such move was compliant with our rules and report in this thread any infraction.
LTIR will be available only till a deadline, to be set during the RS.

LTIR provides a cap bonus equal to 50% of the player's salary.
The bonus will be available as a separate reservoir of money (i.e. not combinable with the overall salary cap room) and may only be used for biddings on Free Agents (can not be used for trades or waivers pick-ups).
LTIR bonus of different players from the same team get cumulated.
A LTIR bonus will expire as soon as the player on LTIR will be back playing, terminating as many contracts as needed to fit under the available LTIR bonus.
If the team had signed more than one "LTIR bonus contract", when a LTIR expires the LTIR contracts will be terminated following these priorities:
contracts of the same position of the player coming off LTIR, starting from the older contract.
other contracts starting from the older one.

Example:
Selanne RW @5M in LTIR, Crosby C @10M in LTIR
=> Bonus=7.5M
signed LTIR contracts: G Hutchinson @4.5M, then RW M.Stone @1M, then Pirri C @1M, then Hansen RW @1M.
selanne exits LTIR => Bonus drops to 5M
==> terminated contracts: Stone, then Hansen, then Hutchinson.

Since 2018-2019 season removing from LTIR and putting back a player from in it (just to change LTIR bonus contract) won't be allowed.
You can set him LTIR again only if there's a documented (check IR site...) reason (reinjured, new injury, etc) that must be posted in this forum into the IR topic.
The bonus will not be allowed (and the resulting contracts) will be removed/closed.

Out For Season (OFS)
To be allowed to set a player as OFS you must post a valid link in this topic and get permission by one of the LC members.
OFS provides a 70% discount of the player's cap hit for the rest of the season, and can not be lifted.
OFS will be available only till a deadline, to be set during the RS.

Notes:
- On ice suspensions do not make players eligible for IR/LTIR.
- Off ice suspensions make the players eligible for IR.
- Off ice suspensions with Return listed as "indefinite" make the players eligible for LTIR.
- LTIR bonus and OFS bonus are rounded down at the first decimal (ex. bonus: 0.39 -> 0.3).
- Penalties will be assessed for unfair utilization of IR/LTIR/OFS.

Mi pare che L.A. abbia messo Markov in LTIR illegalmente:
Andrei Markov D Early Jan - Knee - 12/6/11
http://prosportsdaily.sportsdirectinc.c ... uries.html

Andrei Markov D Late Jan - Knee - 1/3/12 Markov underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in early December and is expected to be out until the end of January. He was in the process of rehabilitating his knee and had returned to practice when the decision was made for him to undergo his third surgery in the past 18 months. He hasn't played in a game since November 2010.

Posso metterlo in LTIR?

Enjoy!

Mik, ora posso metterlo in LTIR?

Markov underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in early December and has no timetable for a return. conta solo questo:
"Out indefinitely - Knee - 1/25/12"

vanek out week-to-week.
Dom, you only need to post here links for 'Out For Sseason' permission (which is by now not available anymore, anyway)...

if the player is listed here http://prosportsdaily.sportsdirectinc.c ... uries.html as out for at least one week (or out indefinitely or IR) he is automatically good to go for the IR.

OUT SUNDAY - dall'11-02-12

"Van Riemsdyk is dealing with a concussion, which he suffered in mid January after getting "hit in the head", according to Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren. He has resumed skating but missed Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs. He is not expected to play Sunday against the Red Wings."
